The ACM Symposium on Operating Systems Principles is the flagship academic venue for computer systems research, held biennially and covering the full range of systems topics: operating systems, distributed systems, file and storage systems, security, networking, and the intersection of systems with machine learning and AI infrastructure. SOSP 2026 is the 32nd edition, taking place at the Clarion Congress Hotel in Prague, Czech Republic, September 29 to October 2. The conference is A* ranked and consistently features some of the most influential work in systems research, with acceptance rates well below 15 percent. Attendees include researchers from top universities and major industry labs including Google, Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, and other large-scale systems operators.
