CRYPTO is the International Cryptology Conference, one of the IACR’s three flagship events alongside EUROCRYPT and ASIACRYPT, and it is ranked A* by CORE. It covers all areas of cryptology, from foundational theory through to applied and implementation work.
The 2027 edition is the 47th, and like almost every CRYPTO before it, it runs on the University of California, Santa Barbara campus, with attendees typically housed in campus residence halls as well as hotels in Goleta and Santa Barbara proper.
Dates have not been published yet. The conference site states that exact dates and the important-dates schedule will be announced soon. CRYPTO has run in mid to late August for many years, and its submission deadline normally falls in February, so a 2027 call would be expected early in 2027.
