CORE Ranking B

OPODIS covers the principles and foundations of distributed computing: consensus and agreement, concurrent data structures, fault tolerance, self-stabilisation, blockchain protocols and distributed graph algorithms. It sits alongside PODC, DISC and SPAA in that space, and is the smaller and more European of the group. Proceedings are published by LIPIcs as gold open access, so papers are free to read after the conference.

The 30th edition runs December 9 to 11, 2026 at the IMDEA Software Institute. Note where that is: IMDEA sits on the UPM Montegancedo campus in Pozuelo de Alarcon, about 11 km west of central Madrid, not in the city. Every one of the Madrid hotels listed below is central and roughly that far out, so budget for a daily commute or look for something closer to the campus.

Deadlines are close. Abstracts were due August 31, 2026 and full papers close September 3, 2026, with notification on October 28.
