IEEE SMC 2026 is the annual conference of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, held in Bellevue, Washington under the theme Human-Centric Intelligence: Shaping the Digital Future. SMC is a large, deliberately broad conference covering systems science and engineering, human-machine systems, and cybernetics, and it carries an extensive programme of special sessions, workshops and tutorials proposed by the community; proposals for those closed on 23 February 2026 and regular papers on 19 April 2026, with final papers due 2 August. The exact venue has not yet been published. Bellevue sits across Lake Washington from Seattle and is the centre of the region’s eastside technology cluster, about 30 minutes from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
