The IADIS International Conference Information Systems reaches its 20th edition in 2027. It covers information systems broadly, including organisational and management aspects, systems development, data management, and the social and ethical dimensions of IS, and it is run by the International Association for Development of the Information Society.
The 2027 edition runs 13 to 15 March 2027 at the Hotel HF Ipanema Porto on Rua do Campo Alegre, in the Boavista district about 1.6 km west of the historic centre. The venue is itself a hotel, so staying on site removes the commute entirely.
It is part of an IADIS multi-conference. IS runs co-located with Mobile Learning 2027, e-Society 2027 and ICE Edu Tech 2027, which is worth knowing if your work spans more than one of those: a single trip covers four programmes.
Submission runs in rounds and the first one closes on 9 October 2026, with notification on 13 November and camera-ready plus early registration on 11 December. Because it is labelled a first call, expect later rounds with their own deadlines.
Some context worth having before you submit. The conference is not ranked by CORE, though IADIS as an organiser does run ranked events: its Applied Computing conference sits at CORE C. The organisers describe the proceedings as being submitted to Elsevier, Scopus, Engineering Index and Thomson Reuters, which is a weaker commitment than confirmed indexing, so treat it as an intention rather than a guarantee. Papers are blind peer-reviewed and receive DOIs through Crossref, and extended versions of the best papers are selected for IADIS journals.
