Systems Operating Systems Computer Science

Explores how operating systems should evolve when AI agents become first-class workloads. The premise is that agents behave unlike existing workloads: long-running, unpredictable in resource use, and issuing actions with side effects. Topics include isolation, scheduling and giving the OS a say in what an agent is permitted to do. Existing isolation primitives were designed for processes that do not reason about escaping them, which is an uncomfortable assumption here.
