MICRO, the IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Microarchitecture, is the flagship conference for processor microarchitecture and related systems research, jointly sponsored by IEEE TCCA and ACM SIGMICRO. It covers pipeline design, out-of-order execution, branch prediction, cache and memory hierarchy, hardware security, compiler-architecture co-design and emerging architectures for AI and high-performance computing. It suits researchers working at the level of the microarchitecture itself rather than the system around it, and it has a strong industry presence alongside academic work. Ranked A* by CORE, with an acceptance rate of 22.4% in 2024. The 59th edition introduces an Industry Track with a review process tailored to production-focused architectural work.
