ICCAD, the IEEE/ACM International Conference on Computer-Aided Design, is the premier conference for electronic design automation research, sitting in the EDA calendar alongside DAC and DATE. It covers logic and physical synthesis, hardware verification, design for manufacturability, EDA for emerging technologies and AI accelerators, hardware security, and increasingly the use of machine learning inside chip design tools. It suits researchers working on the algorithms and tooling of design automation, and it is the more research-focused of the three big EDA venues, with less trade-show character than DAC. Ranked A by CORE, with an acceptance rate of 24.7% in 2025.
