CHIIR, the ACM SIGIR Conference on Human Information Interaction and Retrieval, focuses on the human side of information access, covering search behaviour, interactive information retrieval, user studies, and the design and evaluation of systems that help people find and make sense of information. It suits researchers who study searchers rather than retrieval algorithms, and it is the natural home for user-centred IR work that would be a poor fit at SIGIR. Ranked B by CORE. CHIIR spreads submissions across several dates rather than one, with full and perspective papers closing first and tutorials, workshops, short papers, demos, design, resource and industry papers following over the subsequent weeks, all sharing a single notification date.
