The ACM Collective Intelligence Conference is the premier venue for research on how groups of people, machines, or combinations of both can exhibit intelligent behavior that exceeds the capabilities of any individual member. The field encompasses crowdsourcing, prediction markets, collaborative filtering, human-AI teaming, voting and aggregation mechanisms, and the design of systems that harness distributed human intelligence at scale. CI 2026 takes place September 27-30 at the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus in Arlington, Virginia, a research facility in the National Capital Region with close ties to federal agencies and the DC-area technology industry. The location reflects the conference’s relevance to policy, government, and large-scale sociotechnical systems. Paper submissions are due June 8 with notifications on July 31.
