CIKM is the ACM International Conference on Information and Knowledge Management, covering information retrieval, knowledge management, databases and the overlap between them. It is ranked A by CORE, and 2027 is the 36th edition.
The 2027 edition goes to Sydney, Australia, organised by Macquarie University’s School of Computing and Frontier AI Research Centre. This was announced at the CIKM 2025 business meeting, following Seoul in 2025 and Rome in 2026.
Dates are not confirmed. The announcement mentioned a tentative window of late October, but it was explicitly labelled tentative, and the same announcement placed CIKM 2026 in late October when that edition is in fact running 7 to 11 November. CIKM has recently sat in the late October to mid November range, so expect something in that period, but nothing is fixed until Macquarie publishes a conference site. The call for papers has not opened yet either; CIKM full papers normally close around May for a conference later the same year.
