WiSense investigates wireless sensing - using changes in wireless signals caused by objects and humans to infer position and movement - and its deployment on edge devices. Wireless sensing provides unobtrusive sensing without physical sensors and can work in non-line-of-sight scenarios with signals like Wi-Fi, RFID and UWB. The workshop addresses the challenges of running wireless sensing and machine-learning algorithms on resource-constrained edge devices and explores applications such as localization, activity recognition and health monitoring.
