Addresses methods and metrics for assuring the security of deployed systems. Assurance is the unglamorous question of how you demonstrate security rather than claim it. Topics include metrics, evidence-based assurance cases and certification, which increasingly determine whether a system may be deployed at all. Evidence that satisfies a regulator and evidence that satisfies an engineer are not always the same thing, which is part of the problem.
