Focuses on rigorous benchmarking and evaluation of intrusion detection and response. Intrusion detection results are notoriously hard to compare, because datasets are dated, base rates are unrealistic and reported accuracy rarely survives contact with real traffic. This workshop is specifically about fixing the evaluation rather than the detectors. Reproducible evaluation is a prerequisite for the field making measurable progress, and at present it largely lacks one.
