Covers self-defending systems and autonomous security operations. Autonomy in security is attractive because attacks move faster than humans respond, and alarming for exactly the same reason. The workshop covers self-defending systems and the question of what authority an automated defender should hold. An automated defender that acts wrongly at machine speed can cause more damage than the attack it was responding to.
