NoDaLiDa is the Nordic Conference on Computational Linguistics, the regional venue for natural language processing, speech and language technology across the Nordic countries. It has run since 1977 and is the main meeting point for a research community whose languages are individually small enough that data scarcity and morphological complexity are permanent working conditions rather than special cases. The programme covers both theoretical and applied language technology, with keynotes, peer-reviewed papers, posters, workshops and tutorials.
The 26th edition runs May 25 to 28, 2027 at the University of Copenhagen South Campus, and will be held in person. Note that the main conference is only May 26 and 27, the Wednesday and Thursday, so the surrounding days carry workshops and tutorials. If you are coming only for the main programme, that is a two-day trip rather than a four-day one.
There are two ways in and they close five weeks apart. Direct submissions are due January 18, 2027, while papers already reviewed through ACL Rolling Review can be committed as late as February 22. Notification is March 8 and camera-ready copy is due April 5. If you have an ARR review in hand, the later date applies and is worth knowing about before rushing a direct submission in January.
The venue is on Amager, around Karen Blixens Plads, roughly 2 km southeast of the centre and served by the M1 metro at DR Byen. Unlike some Copenhagen conferences, there is no awkward choice of district here: the central hotels are all between about 1.3 and 2.9 km from campus, so staying centrally works without a commute worth worrying about.
Copenhagen has an unusually full 2027. ICDE finishes on May 21, four days before this begins, in the same city, which makes the two genuinely combinable for anyone working between data management and language technology. ETAPS and TACAS are there in April and ISMB in July.
Late May is one of the better times to be in Copenhagen, around 15 to 20C with very long days, though it is the start of the peak season and prices reflect that.
