Copenhagen Airport (CPH) is just 8 km from the city centre. The Metro runs directly from the terminal to Kongens Nytorv (near many hotels) in 15 min (~40 DKK / ~6 USD). Trains also connect to Copenhagen Central Station. Taxis cost around 300-350 DKK (40-50 USD).
Copenhagen is one of Europe’s most cycling-friendly cities - flat, well-marked, and with widespread bike rental options. The Metro (2 lines + new Cityringen circle line) and S-Tog suburban rail cover the rest. A 24-hour pass is around 100 DKK (~14 USD). The city centre is very walkable between the main conference venues and hotels.
May-August is the prime season - long days, warm temperatures (18-25C), and the city at its most vibrant. June brings near-constant daylight. September-October is pleasant for conferences with fewer tourists. Winter (November-March) is cold, dark, and grey but Danes have mastered the hygge of cosy indoor culture - just dress warmly.

Copenhagen’s conference beds fall into two clusters that barely overlap, and which one you want depends entirely on your venue. The Bella Center and Orestad, ten minutes south on the M1 metro, is where the large convention hotels are: modern, reliable and very quiet after dark, because the district is mostly office towers. Central Copenhagen around Vesterport, Vesterbro and the Lakes is the other base, walkable to Tivoli, Nyhavn and the restaurant streets, and the one you want if your event is anywhere near Central Station. Rates peak from May to August, when the city is at its best and books out early. Copenhagen is small enough and flat enough that a rental bike closes most of the gap between the two, and the metro runs around the clock at weekends.
