ICPC is the main venue for research on program comprehension: how developers read, navigate and build a mental model of code they did not write. That covers code summarisation, traceability, documentation generation, developer studies and, increasingly, what changes when large language models sit between a developer and a codebase.
ICPC 2027 runs April 25 to 26 at The Convention Centre Dublin, co-located with ICSE 2027, which occupies the same venue from April 25 to May 1. ICPC sits at the front of that week, so a single trip covers both and the hotel advice for ICSE applies unchanged.
There are several tracks with staggered deadlines. Research track papers are due November 5, 2026 with notification on January 14, 2027. Tool demonstrations and Early Research Achievements abstracts follow on November 19, ERA full papers on November 26, and the Replications and Negative Results track runs latest, with abstracts on December 11 and papers on December 18.
