ECOOP is the main European conference on programming languages and object-oriented programming, covering language design, type systems, static analysis, verification, compilers and runtime systems. It is known for its artifact evaluation process and for publishing through the open-access LIPIcs series.
The 2027 edition runs June 28 to July 2 in Turin, organised by the Department of Computer Science at the University of Turin. The venue has not been announced yet.
ECOOP uses two review rounds rather than a single deadline. Round 1 submissions open 19 November 2026 with the author response period from 11 to 15 January 2027 and notification on 28 January 2027. Round 2 opens 11 February 2027, with responses from 22 to 26 March and notification on 8 April 2027. A Round 1 submission that is not accepted can be revised and resubmitted to Round 2.
