ICDCS is one of the longest-running conferences in distributed systems, first held in 1979. It covers distributed algorithms and middleware, cloud and edge computing, distributed machine learning systems, fault tolerance and the networking that ties them together. It sits on the systems-building side of the field, alongside DISC and PODC on the theory side.
The 47th edition runs July 5 to 8, 2027 in Melbourne. The venue and the submission deadlines have not been announced yet.
Worth knowing before booking: ACISP 2027, the Australasian information security and privacy conference, runs July 7 to 10 in the same city, so the two overlap on the 7th and 8th. If your work sits in distributed systems security that is an unfortunate collision, but it also means one trip to Melbourne can cover parts of both.
