Google I/O — 2026

Google I/O is Google’s annual developer conference, the primary venue for announcements about Google AI products and APIs, Android platform updates, Chrome and the web platform, and Google Cloud developer services. The keynote and all session content is streamed live and available free on the Google I/O website and YouTube. The 2026 edition runs as a two-day event on May 19-20. In past years, a small in-person component at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California has been offered by lottery to registered developers, though the format for 2026 has not been confirmed. The conference has historically marked the launch of the next major Android version, new Tensor chip announcements, and the latest advances in Google’s Gemini model family and developer AI tools.
