The European Conference on Machine Learning and Principles and Practice of Knowledge Discovery in Databases (ECML PKDD) is the European flagship for research on machine learning and data mining, A-ranked, covering supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, large-scale and streaming data mining, applied data science, and the responsible use of ML in scientific and industrial settings. The 2026 edition takes place September 7-11 at the University of Naples Federico II, with main research sessions at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology on Via Claudio and plenary sessions held at the adjacent Mostra d’Oltremare exhibition complex. Naples International Airport is one of the closest major airports to its city centre in Italy, only 7 km from the historic core, with direct connections across Europe and growing long-haul service.
