The Design Automation Conference is the main venue for electronic design automation, covering chip design tools, verification, hardware security, and increasingly machine learning both as a workload to design for and as a technique for designing. It is unusual among academic conferences in having a very large commercial exhibition attached, so the attendee mix leans heavily toward industry.
The 2027 edition runs July 11 to 14 at the San Jose Convention Center. Note for anyone planning a longer trip: KDD 2027 is in the same building from August 1 to 5, three weeks later. Submission deadlines for DAC 2027 have not been published yet.
