The 6th IEEE Cyber Awareness and Research Symposium (CARS 2026) takes place October 26-28, 2026 at the UND Memorial Union, University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. CARS is an IEEE-sponsored, NSA CAE-R forum for research in cybersecurity, cyber awareness, critical infrastructure protection, and the security of autonomous and connected systems. The symposium is offered in a hybrid format and includes full and short research papers (published through IEEE), a Cyber Resilience Summit, a career expo, and a Capture-the-Flag (CTF) competition run with MetaCTF. The full paper submission deadline is July 15, 2026. Grand Forks is reached via its regional airport (GFK), or by driving from Fargo (about 80 minutes) or Minneapolis (about 5 hours).
