The UrbCom workshop addresses the challenges of urbanisation such as managing public spaces, air pollution, traffic, energy consumption and quality of life through urban computing. It explores how urban computing involves acquiring, integrating and analysing large volumes of heterogeneous data from sensors, mobile devices, vehicles and people to propose solutions for city problems and improve residents’ quality of life.
