Data Mining Machine Learning

Covers incremental, continual and lifelong learning: models that keep learning after deployment instead of being retrained from scratch. The central difficulty is catastrophic forgetting, where learning a new task destroys performance on old ones. Topics include replay and regularisation strategies, task-free continual settings, memory constraints, and evaluation protocols that measure retention as well as accuracy.
