Computer Vision Machine Learning Image Processing Deep Learning AI

Applies computer vision to documenting, monitoring, and preserving natural heritage sites, biodiversity, and ecosystems. Covers aerial and ground-based imagery analysis for environmental monitoring, species identification, and heritage conservation. Overlaps with the ecology and Earth observation workshops but keeps a heritage and conservation framing, drawing practitioners from parks, museums and environmental agencies whose priorities are long-term monitoring and documentation rather than state-of-the-art accuracy on a fixed benchmark.
