The workshop focuses on application-driven point cloud processing and 3D vision. It points out that point clouds encode 3D objects and scenes and are critical for digital entertainment, autonomous driving, remote sensing, robotics and other applications. Since point cloud data is massive, research must improve compression, enhancement (upsampling, denoising, completion, artifact removal) and quality assessment to support AI and multimodal analysis.
