Covers the convergence of AI and IoT, including on-device intelligence, edge computing, federated learning, and TinyML applications. The interesting constraint is that AIoT devices must infer locally, since sending everything to the cloud is too slow, too expensive or not permitted. TinyML and on-device federated learning follow directly from that. Energy is the binding constraint, since a device that must run for years on a battery cannot afford continuous inference.
