Focuses on intelligent transportation systems, connected and autonomous vehicles, and multimodal sensing, control, safety, and policy for vehicular mobility. Vehicular networking has to work with intermittent connectivity, high mobility and mixed fleets where new and decade-old vehicles share a road. Policy and safety regulation get discussed alongside the technical work. Mixed autonomy, where automated and human-driven vehicles share the same road, is the hardest case and the realistic one.
