The ACM Conference on User Modeling, Adaptation and Personalization (UMAP) is the leading venue for research on personalized and adaptive systems, covering user modeling, recommender systems, adaptive user interfaces, personalization in education and health, and the responsible design of systems that adapt to individual users. Sponsored by ACM SIGCHI and SIGWEB and recently elevated to a CORE A ranking, the 34th UMAP takes place June 8-11, 2026, in Gothenburg, Sweden. Gothenburg is Sweden’s second city, with a strong base in software and automotive research anchored by Chalmers University of Technology. Goteborg Landvetter Airport (GOT) is about 20 minutes from the center by airport coach, and the city is roughly 3 hours 30 minutes by train from both Stockholm and Copenhagen.
