SIGGRAPH Asia is the premier annual conference for computer graphics, animation, rendering, visual computing, and interactive techniques in the Asia-Pacific region. It brings together researchers, artists, engineers, and technologists from across the graphics and XR fields for technical paper presentations, exhibitions, live demonstrations, and industry showcases.
The 2026 edition marks the conference’s first visit to Malaysia and to Southeast Asia outside Singapore. It is held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) in the heart of the city, with the Petronas Twin Towers visible from the venue. Kuala Lumpur is one of the best-connected cities in Southeast Asia for international travel, with direct flights from Europe, Australia, and across Asia into Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
SIGGRAPH Asia accepts work across multiple tracks including technical papers, art papers, emerging technologies, courses, and real-time live demonstrations. The technical papers track has a two-stage submission process with a Stage 1 abstract deadline of May 5, 2026 and full submission due May 12, 2026. Acceptance rates in the technical papers track are competitive, typically in the 20-25% range.
The conference is co-located with an industry exhibition drawing studios, toolmakers, and hardware vendors, making it a strong destination for both academic researchers and industry practitioners in graphics and interactive media.
