The Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology (ISMB 2026) conference is the flagship annual event of the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB), running July 12-16, 2026 at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC. ISMB is consistently the largest conference in bioinformatics and computational biology, drawing researchers from genomics, structural biology, single-cell analysis, drug discovery, and machine learning applied to the life sciences. The programme includes research papers, invited keynotes, tutorials, and a large number of co-located Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings and satellite workshops that run in the days immediately before and after the main conference - extending the effective event to nearly a week for many attendees. Proceedings papers are peer-reviewed and published in the journal Bioinformatics. The Washington Hilton in Dupont Circle is a large full-service venue with a strong track record for hosting major conferences; it is on the Metro Red Line at the Dupont Circle stop, putting it within easy reach of downtown DC and Reagan National Airport.
