The European Symposium on Research in Computer Security (ESORICS) is the flagship European academic venue for computer security research, having run annually since 1990. The conference covers a broad technical programme spanning applied cryptography, access control, authentication, network and systems security, web security, privacy-enhancing technologies, and security in distributed and cloud environments. ESORICS publishes in Springer LNCS and operates a two-cycle review process, with acceptance rates typically in the range of 15-20%. The 2026 edition is hosted at Sapienza University of Rome, one of the largest universities in Europe, near the Termini station in central Rome.
