RecSys for Sustainability and Social Good
RecSoGood 26: Third International Workshop on Recommender Systems for Sustainability and Social Good
In conjunction with
ACM Conference on Recommender Systems 2026
September 28, 2026 - October 2, 2026
Minneapolis Marriott City Center
Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
The third RecSoGood workshop asks what recommenders should optimise for when the objective is not engagement. Topics include nudging toward sustainable consumption, food and health recommendation, energy use, recommendation for education and public services, and the environmental cost of training and serving the models themselves. It also covers how to measure social outcomes credibly when the usual accuracy metrics do not capture them. Full-day workshop on Friday 2 October, the closing workshop day.
