The IXR’25 workshop seeks to advance multimedia, networking and user-infrastructure technologies for interactive extended reality. It notes that most XR applications remain local and individual, and research should address content realism, motion-to-photon latency and human-centric quality assessment. Topics include low-latency encoding, networking systems, 3D modelling pipelines, compression/delivery strategies and AI-driven immersive experiences.
