HATRA brings together researchers from programming languages, software engineering, security and human-computer interaction to ask how languages with stronger safety guarantees can be made genuinely effective for the people using them. Strong type systems, verification tools and reasoning assistants often deliver their guarantees at a real cost in usability, and that cost decides whether they get adopted at all. The workshop is deliberately a venue for discussion and feedback on early-stage work rather than finished results.
