Explainable and Reliable Software Systems
EXPRESS: Workshop on Explainable and Reliable Software Systems
In conjunction with
International Conference on Systems, Programming, Languages and Applications - Software for Humanity 2026
October 3-9, 2026
Oakland Marriott City Center
Oakland, California, United States
EXPRESS is a workshop on making software systems explainable and reliable across the whole lifecycle, from design through deployment and monitoring. The second edition responds to the pressures created by the convergence of AI with cloud-native architectures and continuous delivery, where systems are harder to reason about and failures are harder to attribute. Topics span interpretability of learned components, verification techniques, runtime monitoring and system visualisation. Note that it shares an acronym with the older EXPRESS/SOS concurrency workshop but is a separate and unrelated event.
