Academic Building One at the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus, the university’s graduate campus for computer science and computer engineering in the National Landing district. It opened in 2024 as part of the development that followed Amazon’s second headquarters. The campus is on the Metro at Potomac Yard, a few minutes from both Reagan National Airport and Old Town Alexandria. The conference space is Academic Building One, an 11-storey, 300,000 square foot facility opened in 2025, and it sits less than a block from the Potomac Yard-VT Metrorail station on the Blue and Yellow lines, one stop south of Reagan National Airport. Note for booking: Potomac Yard is a new and largely residential district with no hotels of its own, so the nearest rooms are 1.1 to 1.6 km north in Arlington’s National Landing and Crystal City, and the next cluster is 3.5 to 4.1 km south in Old Town Alexandria.
