PyCon US is the flagship conference of the Python Software Foundation and the largest Python community event in the world, drawing thousands of developers, data scientists, educators, and open source contributors to Long Beach for a week of tutorials, talks, sprints, and community gatherings. The 2026 edition runs May 13-19 at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center, with tutorials and summits on May 13-14, the main conference on May 15-17, and development sprints on May 18-19. PyCon US covers the full breadth of the Python ecosystem: web development, data science, machine learning, scientific computing, education, and core language development. The job fair, open spaces, and active hallway track make it as much a community reunion as a technical conference. All talk videos are released freely after the event, and many attendees use the sprints as an opportunity to contribute directly to CPython and major open source projects.
