European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO) — 2027

EUSIPCO is EURASIP’s flagship conference and the main European venue for signal processing, covering statistical and array processing, audio and speech, image and video, biomedical signals, and the growing overlap with machine learning. It is the European counterpart to ICASSP and draws a similar mix of academic and industrial attendees.

The 2027 edition runs August 30 to September 3 at the darmstadtium, Darmstadt’s congress centre. The venue sits in the city centre next to the Schloss and the TU Darmstadt city campus, and it takes its lowercase name from chemical element 110, which was discovered at the GSI centre here and named after the city.

The deadlines are spread across eight months and the paper deadline is not the first one. Special session proposals close November 11, 2026, nearly three months before papers, and satellite workshop proposals on December 12, so organising anything at EUSIPCO is a decision made well before writing for it. Conference papers close February 6, 2027, tutorial proposals on March 1, and there is a separate journal paper track closing April 30, after the main round. Author registration and the early-bird rate both fall on June 2, and the three-minute thesis competition closes July 3.

Note that no notification date has been published yet, so the gap between the February deadline and hearing back is currently unknown.

On where to stay, the venue is central and one hotel sits about 150 m away, but most of Darmstadt’s stock clusters near the Hauptbahnhof roughly 2 km west. That is a short tram ride rather than a real obstacle, though it is worth knowing before booking on price alone. Frankfurt Airport is unusually convenient at about 25 km, roughly 30 to 40 minutes by direct bus or train.
