CogSci is the annual meeting of the Cognitive Science Society and the main interdisciplinary venue where psychology, linguistics, neuroscience, philosophy and AI actually meet rather than talk past each other. It is CORE B but unusually broad, and the poster sessions are a large part of the point.
The 2027 edition runs July 28 to 31, 2027 at the Euskalduna Bilbao Conference Centre, with the announced theme Human Cognition in the Age of AI. Euskalduna sits on the Nervion in Abandoibarra, a ten-minute walk from the Guggenheim, and four of the five hotels on this page are within 450 m of it.
Late July in Bilbao is warm, 20 to 27C, with long evenings. Worth knowing that this is the Atlantic coast rather than the Mediterranean, so rain is possible in any month. The city’s big festival, Aste Nagusia, falls a couple of weeks after the conference, so staying on is attractive but needs booking well ahead.
