The ACM/IEEE International Symposium on Code Generation and Optimization (CGO) is the leading conference for research on compilers, code generation, and program optimization. CGO 2026 is co-located with HPCA, PPoPP, and CC at the International Convention Centre Sydney, creating a week-long cluster of systems and architecture research that draws several hundred specialists to the same venue. The conference covers static and dynamic compilation, just-in-time systems, profile-guided optimization, auto-vectorization, loop transformations, binary translation, and the design of optimizing compilers for emerging hardware including GPUs, neural processing units, and domain-specific accelerators. Sydney in late January sits in the height of the Australian summer, making the location considerably more appealing than the northern hemisphere winter for attendees traveling from Europe and North America.
