The Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields is a world-class art museum with extensive grounds and an outdoor amphitheatre, accessible by bus or rideshare. Mass Ave (Massachusetts Avenue) is the arts and culture corridor with galleries, independent restaurants, and the Penrod Arts Fair. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum tells the history of the Indy 500. The City Market, a preserved 19th-century market hall, has food stalls popular with the weekday lunch crowd. The Slippery Noodle Inn, the city’s oldest bar, is worth a visit for live blues and local history.
