Gandhinagar is the planned capital of Gujarat, a green, orderly grid of a city that hosts DA-IICT (Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology), IIT Gandhinagar, and the GIFT City fintech district. It pairs naturally with Ahmedabad, the lively metropolis 25 kilometers south whose UNESCO-listed old city, food scene, and larger hotel market most visitors combine with a Gandhinagar conference.
